My little brother initially went to the Gabel center. He has been twice so far, but their care and compassion brought him back to the brink. Nothing but respect and gratefulness

The Gabel Center gave me my life back!!! Going to rehab was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but they made it one of the most rewarding. I learned so much about myself and ways to live drug free. Each client is treated with respect and dignity. The staff is very knowledgeable and work with each client on an individual level as well as in a group setting. Along with the routine counseling sessions, they kept us busy with group activities such as fishing, kayaking, shelling and walks on the beach. The accommodations make you feel like you are at home. There is even a pool and workout equipment at the Beach House. Even living in Pennsylvania, I still stay in contact with my counselor and have been back to visit with them since I have been discharged. As much as I wanted to get back home to my family, it was hard to leave the new "family" that was made with the staff and clients. As I approach my one year anniversary, I can honestly say, I couldn't have made it this far without them! Highly recommend The Gabel Center!!!

I wouldn't recommend any other treatment center than the Gabel Center. My experience there was like no other when it came down to addiction and treatment. Here I was able to experience a whole new light on what it was like to be sober and maintain sobriety within the process of having fun with all the great activities that are provided here. Here you get to learn everything about whats going on inside and out through the wonderful staff which are all very nice and so full of knowledge.The staff have the passion to actually want to help you and that they all really do care by taking the time and patience with each individual, its truly amazing. Honesty, the Gabel Center has become my second family it was hard to leave such a great place i keep in contact to this day still keeping in touch with my therapist who has helped me through so much i can't even put in words on how much with going above and beyond i would've ever thought possible. Im still clean and doing the work as i was guided and inspired to my life is great I'm actually very happy. If it wasn't for the Gabel Center, I wouldn't be who I am today. Truly am thankful for such a place.

The Gable Center helped me through a very tough period in my life. After struggling with alcohol abuse for years it was The Gable Center that helped me move forward. The counselors there are extremely talented and very caring. There is no such thing as a former client as they regularly call and check up on me to this day. Each client is given an individual counselor and room with a roommate to form personal connections with staff and piers. The living facilities are gender separated, very comfortable, clean and even include a pool. Activities include beach barbecues, gender groups and my personal favorite, art therapy. A mix of indoor and outdoor activities helped me realize the potential for free time I was not enjoying in my depressed alcoholic state. The staff was patient with me during my learning phase and my family who had to learn new things as well. If you and/or your family are willing to learn new things the kind people here are willing to help.

To put into words the life the Gable Center has allowed me to lead is impossible. I was empty, lost, mad, numb and had nothing left. I hated myself and everyone else. After living day after day of constant addiction and destruction I got sick of being sick. I reached out to the Gable Center to initially take part in a 30 day inpatient treatment program. Little did I know it would be the beginning of a life long journey that I constantly thank my higher power for. At the Gable Center I was able to hide out and clear my mind. Through sessions with therapist and interactions with other addicts I began to change and feel comfortable in my own skin. In these sessions I worked on triggers, self-esteem issues, family and character defects. Although my moods were up and down, I was able to feel again. I laughed, I cried, I was angry and I was happy; Many times I could feel all four at the same time. I am grateful for these feelings. I am learning how to deal with each feeling in a positive way. Closer to leaving the Gable Center we worked on a after treatment plan. I was able to set up a plan of action after leaving the center. To this day I am clean and attend meetings weekly. I owe a very successful past two years of sobriety to the Gable Center.
